Hello and Welcome!

My name is Dya Kaur and I am a Boston area web visual design and front end developer who enjoys photography,  practicing Aikido as member of the MIT Aikido club,  and the company of my husband Marc, daughter Talia, and son Torin.

... my name and my family

... my education

At the age of 14 I left Iowa to attend a Sikh school (Guru Nanak's Fifth Centenary School) that is located in the middle range of the Himalayan mountains in former Uttar Pradesh (now Uttaranchal), India.   I passed the Indian scholastic test Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) equivalent to ending high school in America, and then stayed in India for my 11th grade before returning to the States to go to college.   I chose to go to Northeastern University where I completed my undergraduate studies in 1995.

... my work and the future

Since graduating I have worked in the Boston area, mostly in web software design and development, the details of which have been recorded in my resume.   I have continued taking classes in both professional and personal areas of interest.   My plans for the future include being the best mother possible to Talia and Torin, a regular Aikido practice, and continuing to further my knowledge and skills in software design and development.
